EWEA Offshore 2013, the meeting of expectation

We ended our 2013 marketing campaign by the participation to EWEA Offshore 2013 in FRANKFURT, which confirmed what we felt from SEAWORK in June: the wind market is paused.

After the momentum created by the projects in the UK between 2004 and 2012, the enthusiasm for the Round 3 program and the German projects, stalled. The reality of operating conditions at high seas requires industrial consideration of the costs of the investment they clearly had not previously estimated, leading to demand a renegotiation of rates sales kW / h product.

The ball is now in the hands of governments, which must resolve to announce significant increases to consumers for years to come, if they want to reach their renewable energy projects based on wind.
